I aimed to become an engineer. So, I choose computer science and Engineering in RCET, the top college in Kanyakumari district. Our college faculties are well experienced and talented. They taught clearly and nicely. During our batch the world suffered from Corona, during that pandemic time, our college conduct online classes and our teachers took on-line classes very much nicely. Our class strength was average number of 63 students.
The student teacher ratio is 20:1. we have practical lab classes depending on the subject. Labs are well facilitated. If you broke or repair any instruments, they will fine you and you have to pay money. So, during lab classes always be alert while handling instruments. End semester exams are very tough but if you study well, you will score good marks. Starting from the 3rd year 6th semester, companies came for recruitments. If you study well, you will land in a good package company. Nearly 80% percent students got placements.
RCET, the top college in Kanyakumari district conduct many events for students. One is art fest TAFRO and other is tech fest TARCET. I like more tech fest than the art fest. There are many programs in this tech fest like class, games, expo and more fun. It has so many books, magazines, newspapers, technical books, nontechnical books also. We can gain so much of knowledge from that library. It also has nearly 100+ Computers. They provide free Wi-Fi in the library.
We can use the internet and computer in the library. The classrooms are well constructed. The campus was very environment friendly and very clean. Our college won the best Eco-friendly campus of Kanyakumari. In this college, there are many clubs like fine arts, sports club, etc. And I'm the leader of the Innovative club in my college. I have stayed one year in the hostel of RCET, the top college in Kanyakumari district. Both vegetarian foods and non-veg foods are provided. The quality and quantity of food is so good. The hostel rules are very strict. Inside the hostel, there is a playground, during weekends we used to play cricket there. A gym facility is also available inside the campus. Years spent here are golden years. It gives you memories you can never forget.
